Recognising the contribution to a Sustainable Oxford Installation of ground source heat pumps for Christchurch at the Liddell Buildings, Ifley Road.
Our winning entry was for the design and installation of an innovative water source heat pump system for a domestic renovation. The aim was to provide our client with the most efficient and long-lasting system possible whilst ensuring a smaller carbon footprint, using the infinite renewable energy available in the river. Replacing the existing oil system with a water source heat pump not only resulted in approximately 58% fuel cost saving for the client but it also recovered the cost of the system through the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive grant scheme.
Our very own George Houghton was awarded a Highly Commended in the "Apprentice of the Year” category at the Heating & Renewables Awards. These are national awards for the entire heating industry. George was endorsed at a gala ceremony in front of 800 people.
Orangehouse was awarded winner of the Best Home Energy Efficiency Solution by the NHIC. The NHIC is a prestigious organisation that has been championing energy efficiency and improvements in homes for over forty years.
Orangehouse gained the demanding Government-backed Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) standard earlier this year. This means systems comply with safety and installation standards; will perform efficiently for years to come and gives the customer confidence in their investment. It also allows Orangehouse clients to qualify for the attractive financial incentives available for homes and businesses.”
